The Tactipup Recon harness is based on our Extreme Harness but features a more breathable and minimalist back section of the harness.
This harness is constructed with the best materials we could get our hands on and features your choice of polymer buckles or Austrialpin metal Cobra buckles. Our patent pending design allows you to put the harness over the dog's head, pass the chest plate through their front legs, and then buckle each side. If your dog is reactive, amped, or generally difficult to manage, this will make your life significantly easier.

I purchased the Extreme Tactical Harness two months before the Recon was introduced. I liked it so much that I immediately purchased the Recon Harness when it dropped. In my opinion, it is the best all around tactical harness for your dog. Fit and finish are spot on. I like the Recon for when the weather gets hot/humid as it allows a bit more ventilation than the Extreme Harness (with its back and side panels). The Recon is a great harness for quick trips around town or traveling in a car. I got the Medium size for my 55-pound Golden Retriever. The primary reason I started with the Extreme Tactical Harness is that I wanted a grab handle because my dog is extremely hard pulling when he goes into high drive. If you don't need the side panels to display patches or the grab handle then the Recon is a screaming deal for a no nonsense barebones tactical harness. If your dog doesn't break buckles then the polymer buckles option is the best all around deal. If you have a high energy hard pulling pup then the Cobra buckles are the way to go. Either way, this harness allows full mobility of your dog's front legs and shoulder structure. Well worth every penny and still a bargain..
I bought the harness cuz I did not want all the other material to deal with and trap moisture under as I live in a rain forest.. My pup swims and plays and crashes the brush with it.. and it doesn’t bother her at all.. very good light choice. love the chest protector and the blue teal type color. It was kinda slow getting here due to custom order, but well worth it… it’s Alaskan Sturdy..
