Items Needed to Clean a Dog Collar:

  • One bowl of warm water
  • Baking soda
  • One small brush (toothbrush will work fine)
  • One water absorbing towel

How to Clean a Dog Collar: Step by Step


Step 1
: Fill a bowl with warm water, dissolve 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and soak the collar for 15 minutes.

Step 2: After soaking the collar, rinse the collar to remove excess dirt before scrubbing.

Step 3: Scrub the collar with a brush, being careful around the embroidery.

Step 4: After scrubbing the collar, rinse thoroughly in clean warm water.

Step 5: Dry collar with a towel, making sure any metal hardware is completely dry.

Step 6: Allow the collar to dry overnight or until it is dry to the touch.
